CLASS ETIQUETTE

PUNCTUALITY:

I open the “Zoom rooms” right at the start of each class! Click the class link at least 5 minutes early to ensure Zoom is working as it should on your end. You’ll be put into a “waiting room” until I admit everyone into the class.

Since these are virtual classes, there’s no “sneaking in a couple minutes late and setting up in the back” as you might at a studio. If you’re late, I have to manually admit you to the class, which may break the flow or interrupt my train of thought. I’m generally flexible when it comes to lateness, but if you know you’ll be late, please email me beforehand and let me know to expect you. (Communication is key!)

If you’re more than 5 minutes late, class will be in full-swing and I won’t be able to let you in.

LEAVING EARLY:

If you need to leave early for any reason, please just wave or send a chat message to let me know instead of unmuting to say goodbye! Slipping out quietly allows other students to stay immersed and focused.

VIDEO ETIQUETTE:

I teach to the students present, which means I need to be able to see you while you practice - so, video ON! If you are deeply uncomfortable being seen for any reason, feel free to message me beforehand and I won’t question it when you arrive with video off. Consider becoming a Tapas Member so you can access the recordings instead of attending live!

REFUNDS & CANCELLATIONS

  • Single Class Purchase: If I have to cancel a class you’ve registered for, you’ll be offered the choice of a refund or registration in a different class. If you miss a class you registered for or realize you can’t attend, I can reschedule you for a different class.

  • Membership: Tapas Membership auto-renews monthly and can be cancelled at any time. Upon cancellation, you’ll immediately lose access to Member Resources. To retain access through the end of your paid billing cycle, cancel just before your renewal date. Memberships cancelled before the end of a billing cycle cannot be refunded or pro-rated.

  • Dedicated Practice: You may cancel your subscription at any time. Any remaining unused sessions may still be scheduled and used; they cannot be refunded.

  • Private Sessions (yoga, qigong, Somatic Trauma Resolution, coaching): 24 hours notice required to reschedule a session. No refunds for missed sessions. If you’re running late and communicate with me, I’ll stay in the zoom room until you arrive and our session will end at the scheduled time.

However, my professional integrity as a teacher and healing guide requires that I honor the privacy of all of my clients and students. Any information you share with me about your body, health, trauma, personal life, and inner life will be kept confidential.
